Stitching - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Well I have to say I LOVE sewing on layouts. Ok I love the effect of stitching  the sewing with the machine part I don't really like. (lets just say me and sewing machines have never really had a great relationship!!) But I think that stitching just adds that finishing touch! I actually think I should do more stitching than I do.
This layout is  a photo-shoot of my girl earlier this year when she turned six. I have used Maggie Holmes crate paper collection (love this range!) The script paper already had the drops of paint so to balance the page I added the same to my white cardstock. The stamping is done with the Glitz camera roller stamp. As you can see in the detail pics the stitching just adds that extra bit of dimension.

You will also notice in my last post I love sewing on my cards as well.
Do you sew on your scrapbooking?

Thanks for popping by my blog!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

MME - Miss Caroline : Dolled Up

Hello Again!
so soon you say! I have more layouts to share over the next few days.
I really have been a bit selfish and not sharing much! hehe
Today
These pictures are of my gorgeous girl a year ago. We went for a walk through the bush near our home and along a boardwalk. The weather was perfect and her little smile was too!

Products Used :
Papers -My Minds Eye : Miss Caroline - Dolled Up
Stickers - MME Day stickers
Dear Lizzy - date stamp
canvas corp - mini pegs
Tim Holtz - rosette flower die
washi tape, crate paper buttons, twine, white paint.

I LOVE these papers and I had fun drawing and cutting out the Chevron pattern and then putting it onto white card and machine stitching. To achieve the white splatters I have watered down some gesso and then dipped in my paint brush and lightly flicked my paint brush. If you are unsure what affect you will get just have a practice on some scrap paper it's fun!
I thought I would leave you with some pics of some of my favorite things at the moment used on this layout.

I must go to bed now. I'm so excited we are off to see Mary Poppins tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by :-)

Also made a card with this range and used embossed vellum.
This one is also using crate paper. I also used a mask to do the vine with textured paste and ink. and here I have embossed the vellum and ripped it.
